Here's what Arizona governor Jan Brewer thinks about that response:
“It exposes mistakes. It probes actions. It presents alternatives. Without a free media, freedom would have far less meaning. The common good is served by an independent and principled media.”Sadly, we have an "independent and principled media" in America, but it is under assault not only from the government it seeks to restrain, but a complicit "mainstream" media. Clearly, if Mr. Dunne is correct, liberty is in serious jeopardy in America and those who stand to defend it - most notably anyone who supports the Tea Party movement - are cast as villians, somewhat successfully.
Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution. Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:--"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." - Oath of Office for the President
No matter what's being reported on KRON, the Drudge Report -- and now by the Republican Senatorial Campaign Commitee -- President Obama's visit Wednesday to a Fremont solar panel construction plant did not "cost local factory workers their paychecks."Marinucci boasts that she "got the scoop from Dianna Wright, spokeswoman for Redwood City-based Rudolph & Sletten, the general contractor which is building Solyndra". Wright points out that the companies contract has been extended by one day, "which will be paid".
"To learn of this lawsuit through an Ecuadorean interview with the secretary of state is just outrageous. If our own government intends to sue our state to prevent illegal immigration enforcement, the least it can do is inform us before it informs the citizens of another nation."
"The prime minister was forced to dash through the kitchens of the UN in New York to secure five minutes of face time with President Obama after five requests for a sit down meeting were rejected by the White House."Still Obama was not content with mere snubs and subtle lack of grace so in early June his administration, through Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, endorsed a comrade of Hugo Chavez. Cristina Kirchner, president of Argentina, has demanded mediation of the countries claim to the Falkland Islands, under British rule for the past 177 years. Despite that little tiff in 1982, when Argentina tried to seize the island by force and was repelled by British forces with the support of Ronald Reagan, this administration has sided with Argentina over Britain.
Etheridge's reaction is to demand to know who the photographers are. He then gets physical. He grabs the camera from one man and then takes him by the wrist. In the video, the photographer's faces are blurred and their identities aren't given. They never identify themselves to the congressman other than to say they're students working on a project. How low will the media go to protect Democrats and this administration? And perhaps an even better question is, how far will the Congress Critters go if their behavior is not held to traditional societal standards?
When they continue to refuse to identify themselves, Etheridge grabs one around the neck and then the shoulders refusing to let him go. The man eventually slips Etheridge's grasp and the video ends.
Gallups notes that for a while, YouTube had frozen its view counter at 301 views, and thinks the Google-owned company did this to prevent the video from being promoted to its featured video section.
"Every time we put up a film that has something to do with Obama, they freeze the counter on us," he said. "And they won't respond to any of my e-mails [asking for an explanation]."
This book is a product of its time and does not reflect the same values as if it were written today. Parents may wish to discuss with their children how views on race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity and and interpersonal relations have changed since this book was written before allowing them to read this classic work.A scanned copy of the caveat is seen here:
“It is not acceptable to repeatedly violate international law. It is not acceptable to shoot and kill innocent civilians. It is not acceptable to commit an act of aggression against another U.S. ally. It is not acceptable to continue a blockade which denies humanitarian relief. It is not acceptable to heighten tensions in a region while the United States continues to put so much blood and treasure on the line.”The whole premise of Kucinich's anger is so fallacious as to be laughable, were it not so tragically flawed. Civilians who are beating and stabbing soldiers are not innocent, Dennis, and you may also wish to direct your ire over the violation of international law at Hamas, who lobs rockets at innocent Israeli civilians at will. Or you may wish to chastise Turkey for committing an act of aggression against Israel by sending the ships in the first place. And the blockade does not "[deny] humanitarian relief", it denies Hamas bigger rockets.
The state immediately responded to this threat with increased force, deploying some 300,000 troops in the southeast at an annual cost of $8 billion. In addition, the Turkish armed forces instituted a system of "village guards," paying and arming Kurds to keep the PKK guerrillas out of their villages. Villages that refuse to participate in the guard system face demolition by the Turkish military, while those that go along suffer under harsh reprisals by the PKK.I wonder, therefore, how Turkey would respond to a convoy of trucks rolling into the Southeast to provide "humanitarian aid" to the Kurds? I also wonder why Dennis Kucinich, et al, are not protesting the treatment the Kurds receive at the hands of the Turks?
The war escalated dramatically in the early 1990s. Between 1984-91, an estimated 2,500 people had been killed. Over the next four years, that figure shot up to 20,000. Some 3,000 villages have been destroyed by the military in an effort to rout out PKK sympathizers, creating more than 2 million refugees.
McCartney is the third recipient of the Gershwin Prize. Hailing from England and having earned no university degrees of his own, the Beatle may not know W. was the first American president to earn a master’s degree in business administration. (The fact the MBA is from Harvard really irks the left.) Not to mention Bush is married to a librarian. What is it about these entertainers that causes them to behave in such boorish fashion? And why couldn't McCartney just Let it Be? He had a Ticket to Ride, so there was no reason to get nasty. Nothing could justify what That Boy said, but Michelle will never scold him for it. Maybe Another Girl would, but not her. No, Her Majesty was probably so proud that she had Golden Slumbers that night.
