Puzzle Pieces Falling Into Place
Sometimes you have to just sit back, and wait for the puzzle piece to fit. Well, today a whole lot more puzzle pieces are fitting, and it is not looking too good for Obama....
Backtrack with me if you will, to the 3rd and final presidential debate. Remember how many of us were shocked that Romney didn't try to slam Obama again on Libya? Now, with the breaking news today, of Obama, Biden, and Panetta, all being in white house, in the situation room...watching in real time, as help from Libya is requested and denied 3 times....it of course raises the question of why, and what must they be trying to run from, or hide. (and also please remember, Biden, in the vp debate having the audacity to say he and Obama didn't know they had requested help) But, remember now.....Romney now gets daily intelligence reports, and before that 3rd debate, he most probably already knew this. So, rather than give Obama a nationally televised platform to try to make another big flap of a lie, Romney made the correct decision to back off from the story, and let it play out to congress, and to us, via the media. Thankfully, it is playing out now, rather than after the election.
As if the economy wasn't enough to bring Obama down, this should seal the deal. He is done. He is no leader, and he and his ilk don't give a flip about those our nation sends into harm's way. Obama has to go.

Manchurian to the Nth Degree
When the Truth Hurts |
Her article -- "Will Obama Keep Power 'by Any Means Necessary'?" -- punched me square in the gut as I simultaneously smacked my forehead. The title asks a question many of us have privately wondered to ourselves, only to wave the thought away as "fringe" and outlandish. This is precisely what the Progressives have counted upon. It's also how they have, er, "progressed" so far in the alteration of the land we love, right under our noses.
Even as I write this, more pieces of the grand puzzle come to light, and I now refuse to be complicit in my own enslavement. Therefore, I am throwing off the governor that inhibits what many would successfully call conspiracy theory, because once the path is lit, traversing it is child's play, even at night, and I mean to find what's at the end of it. Before continuing, I strongly recommend reading Ms. Paul's article in its entirety, as I will refer to it frequently and with a minimum of clarification as I move forward.
To begin, one must wonder, finally, about the meteoric rise of Obama. Think about that for a moment...where did this guy come from? If you're old enough to be reading this and old enough to have lived through a few presidential election cycles, you will realize that there has never -- in America's history -- been such an unknown or non-quantified person to ever win the presidential election. Yet, here is President Obama. Some may point to America's ultimate desire to finally have a black president, but Obama was not the first candidate to meet that criterion. No other black candidate even came within a whiff of the Oval Office despite being much more widely acquainted with the electorate.
Once he secured the Democratic National Committee (DNC) nod as the 2008 candidate, Obama began to campaign in earnest. There, he committed more Freudian slips than a police suspect on sodium pentothal, and while some in the "new media" pointed out these lapses in tactical acumen, the mainstream media ran a better propaganda campaign than Joseph Goebbels could have ever imagined. Who could forget his slip in the George Stephanopoulos interview in 2008, when Obama said "my Muslim faith", only to be quickly corrected by the host. And then there is the famous "Joe the Plumber" incident, when candidate Obama said plainly that it's better to spread the wealth around.
These are not American ideals to a vast majority of people. Still, Obama won the election by some miracle, and what he's done since is where the meat of Paul's article lies.
It leads straight to the media culpability in providing cover for the Obama Presidency and its subsequent machinations, which began in earnest shortly after Inauguration Day. With a media all to willing to help such a president, the events of his tenure have seems like infrequent blips on an all but moribund radar screen, but taken together and with proper attention, they are chilling.
Right out of the gate, this president went on what I refer to as the Forgive Us Our Trespasses tour, despite the president's own denials at the third debate. He was in Cairo apologizing for America's "rudeness" and "having dictated to other countries". Regardless of his or the media's refusal to acknowledge these acts, Obama did do them. We all saw it.
Then there were the auto bailouts, where the president disregarded bankruptcy law in handing GM over to the unions at the expense of the rightful bondholders; the investors, who lost out. Throw in his failed "green energy" string of red ink, and the ball was rolling on bankrupting all of us. Here we stand at $16 trillion in debt and counting all the while this president called his predecessor "unpatriotic" for paying on credit for two wars that Congress approved.
Who do they plan on shooting? |
What about Obama telling Medvedev on a hot mike that he will have more flexibility after he's re-elected? No one even asked the question.
But perhaps the most disturbing events of all are what's been going on here at home. We've had the Department of Homeland Security running military drills in Los Angeles, Chicago, and a few other cities. We're seeing drones being utilized all across the countries. Who is the DHS training in these drills, anyway? Are they training their forces for urban combat, or are they training us to expect these actions as routine when they finally prepare to attack?
And finally, the bullets. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has purchased 46,000 rounds of hollow point bullets, otherwise known as "cop killers". Really, the weather channel needs to be armed?
Following that act, the Social Security Administration purchased 174,000 rounds of the same rounds to be distributed to 41 locations across the country. The most chilling news, though, I will excerpt from Ms. Paul's article:
Most terrifying of all, Major General Curry reports that the Department of Homeland Security ordered 750 million rounds of hollow-point ammunition in March, then subsequently ordered an additional 750 million rounds, including bullets capable of penetrating walls.
"This is enough ammunition to empty five rounds into the body of every living American citizen," writes Major General Curry, who wonders what plan might require "so many dead Americans."
One must wonder, indeed. We have 13 days until Election Day, and we have to hope we get there first, hope that Obama is defeated, and then hope that the period between the vote and the inauguration sees no "catastrophe" that will give Obama a reason to use his Executive Orders in order to seize a new term.

Resistance is NOT Futile
Romney is surging. |
The underlying message for Conservatives, of course, is to give up and stay home, it is useless. Once upon a time, that might have worked, perhaps even in 2008, but not this time.
The midterm elections serve as a vivid reminder of what the people can do when they have had enough, and considering it's already two years past the midterms, the people have had that much time to have really had enough. That isn't stopping the liberal media, however.
Early this morning, Reuters posted an article telling us that a Reuters/IPSOS poll shows Obama has "grab[bed] a wide lead" among early voters. "59-31", trumpets Reuters, and although they do acknowledge that the sampling size is "relatively small", they couldn't help but to add that "the Democrat's margin is still well above the poll's credibility interval...of 10 percentage points", whatever that means.
After the 2000 election of George W. Bush -- which was close and bitterly contested -- the networks all agreed to hold back on polling results to allow everyone in other time zones to cast their ballots before hearing that a candidate had already sewn up the win. So why is Reuters now trying to give us election polling three weeks before Election Day? I maintain that it's an effort to portray the election as an exercise in futility.
Tell that to the massive crowds that keep showing up to Romney rallies around the country, particularly since the October 3rd debate. As Election Day gets closer, people are showing more enthusiasm and packing Romney appearances. In Ohio, The Columbus Dispatch has a photograph of a huge crowd for Romney. A telling passage from the accompanying article says it all:
For much of this year, Romney, the sometimes-stiff former businessman, has had a hard time generating the same electricity as Obama.
Indeed, most of the GOP's most passionate voters did not back Romney during the extended Republican primary season. His campaign typically favors made-for-TV invitation-only events where the emphasis is imagery — Navy ships, manufacturing plants, farm equipment — rather than crowd size. Audiences did increase as Romney began campaigning alongside running mate Paul Ryan, a favorite of the tea party, but he has generally struggled to get people excited on his own.
Until this week.
He drew an estimated 12,000 people to a central Florida rally last weekend, 1,200 to an Iowa town of just 1,000, and several hundred more to Newport News, Va., under heavy October rain.
Contagion is not just for infectious diseases anymore, folks. Feed off of this and become part of it. When Election Day is here, let's go to the polls and give Romney the biggest crowd ever, and prove to the Democrats that resistance is not futile after all.

Fundamentally Transformed
The New World Order |
I wrote in September of 2008 to anyone planning to vote for Obama that if we woke up on January 21st of 2009 and didn't "recognize the country, don't come crying to me". Many have anyway, and I find my sympathies oddly intact, for those voters seem genuinely contrite. What's more is that the change has been so striking that changing it back is no longer an option but of paramount importance, so I am in a mood to forgive anyone who plans to vote against Obama now.
For all the promises Obama made on the campaign trail in 2008, for all the visions he conjured of Congress working together and "getting America back on track", look around you now. We've had a Democratically-controlled Senate since 2007, and once Obama took the reigns of POTUS, they have not passed a budget since. The fiscal budget debt of George W. Bush's final year in office was a $162 billion. Now our typical budget deficit is over $1 trillion, as it has been for the past three years.
We have TSA employees acting as gestapo agents and our airports and other public transportation venues. If someone had said that this was what America would look like twenty years ago, they would have been laughed at, but there it is. We have school's insisting on serving our children their lunches, going so far as to seize from students lunches made buy their own parents and thrown away. In fact the government is suggesting that parents model their dinners after school lunches.
The president and his minions seem incapable of telling the truth on any subject and deflect any accusation of wrong doing as -- get this -- lies by the accusers, and our alleged "watchdog press" simply swallows it and in most cases takes the baton and runs with it. The case of the administrations' handling of Fast and Furious is a case in point. Congressman Darrell Issa, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, has been trying to get to the bottom of Fast and Furious, only to have Obama shut down the investigation by claiming Executive Privilege, and the media seems content with that. Only Univision has stayed on the story.
After nearly four years of Obama's reign, it is now "unfashionable" to have succeeded in this new version of America. We've had Occupy Wall Street to thank for that. Or perhaps the Obama regime to thank for Occupy Wall Street, but suffice it to say that if you have made it in America, you are now the enemy. Punctuated by Obama's new campaign slogan "Foreward -- a throwback to the Bolshevik Revolution -- the mantra of the left in this country is now how those "bandit billionaires" have too much and how they need to pay their fair share. Frightening stuff.
Not content with fundamentally transforming America, though, Obama has wreaked havoc around the globe through his failed foreign policy agenda. The Middle East is in flames, Israel is on the ropes, with apparently no support, and Europe is going broke. Iran is approaching nuclear capability and boasting at every opportunity how Israel will not survive, all with complete impunity and a welcome in New York at the United Nations.
And our press seems fine with all of it, still actively advocating for another four more years of this. I never thought one man could do so much damage in four years. I've been proven wrong, even with the governing constraints of a potential second term. What could Obama inflict on us without such a hindrance as reelection?
No, I don't recognize America today. I've been fundamentally transformed enough to last a lifetime, and I want no more of it. Vote for the American in November.

Yet Another WARNing Sign
Seeking a Way Around the Law Yet Again |
Since it's hard to tell if this administration is ever telling the truth -- and it's led many of us to believe the contrary in the past -- I cannot believe now that the economy is indeed improving. Of course my own eyes have already proven that case for me, but now the Obama team has provided yet more evidence toward that end.
In July of this year, the Labor Department issue a "guidance" to defense contractors saying that it would be "inappropriate" to issue potential layoff notices tied to sequestration. (Sequestration is the automatic budget cuts scheduled to take effect in 2013 as required by the Budget Control Act , or BCA. It was a mechanism designed to trigger on January 1, 2013 in the event that the Congressional supercommittee failed to agree on a $1.2 trillion deficit-reduction package by Nov. 23, 2011).
It's been almost a year and legislators have not reached a deal. Considering that the Senate hasn't even passed a budget since this class has been seated, it's safe to say that they won't get a deal done before Election Day. That leave contractors in a bit of a bind.
The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN), which took effect in 1989, is designed to protect workers when layoffs or plant closings are imminent by requiring employers to provide 60 days notice to the workers. It would seem that time is running out on the contractors now. Yet, the Obama administration is asking them not to send the notices.
The idea behind the WARN act was to provide workers and their families a cushion, a time to find new work and training for that new work. It was passed by a Democratically-controlled Congress with veto-proof majorities. What's more, in 2007, then-Senator Obama proposed the FOREWARN Act, which would have strengthened the WARN Act by expanding the number of companies under the law’s jurisdiction and requiring 90 days’ notice. While that bill got no where in Congress, it clearly speaks to how much stock Obama puts into the notion.
Now, however, with Election Day rapidly approaching, Obama suddenly doesn't care for the working man as he has claimed. Just this past Friday, September 28th, the Labor Department issued another guidance to contractors, again insisting that the layoff notices not go out. Why? Because Obama does not want those notices to hurt his election chances. He's not so worried about the working man now, is he?
What's even more interesting is this from the American Enterprise Institute:
The WARN Act provides employees a right that is enforced by federal courts, not the Labor Department. Even the Labor Department admits in a WARN Act fact sheet that “it has no administrative or enforcement responsibility under WARN” and therefore “cannot provide specific advice or guidance with respect to individual situations.”So what is this "guidance" notice all about, then? Well, it seems that the Obama administration is trying to bribe the contractors. See, if the contractors do not send out the layoff notices to employees, then those employees can sue the contractors. What the Labor Department is telling the contractors is that if they follow the guidance -- not to send the notices -- that the Labor Department will pay the fines for them.
Does this sound like the regime of a man who cares about workers' rights? Obama is encouraging the contractors to break a law that he himself sought to bolster a few years ago.
How can anyone trust Obama?

The President Spells Out Dad's Dreams
Not "Dreams of My Father" |
Perhaps it is yet another sign of his own inexperience in real life, or that of American life more particularly, because while Obama may have captured the adoration of the genuinely lazy and envious, he has managed only to further infuriate Americans who have been for years aggravated and frustrated. And while the left has worked tirelessly for the past five decades to soften the minds of our children through the public school system, we have taught them far more effectively just what it means to be an American, as opposed to merely living here. In short, we as children eventually outgrow the indoctrination as we mature.
This may be precisely why the class warfare rhetoric of Obama and the Democrat Party are failing. The sound bites make for great platitudes, but people quickly see through them and end up shaking their heads. The American people are finally beginning to outgrow the mainstream media and the deceptions utilized by that once-honorable profession as they see the lies and omissions being used to protect a favored candidate.
While the Obama campaign ratchets up the untrue rhetoric against the Romney-Ryan ticket, the ads become nastier, more desperate and increasingly false and hysterical. After nearly four years of the failed leadership of Obama -- combined with the nearly perpetual campaigning by the man who should have been doing the work of the people -- it has become ever more clear to those very people that Obama's vision of the America he sought to transform it into more closely resembles the dreams his father had for Kenya. Or the dreams his surrogate father, Frank Marshall Davis -- and the Kremlin -- had for us.
And on the early campaign trail -- particularly after the selection of Paul Ryan for vice presidential running-mate -- Obama's message not only becomes more shrill, but also more obviously anti-American in tone. In stunning bravado, rather than trying to figuratively "tunnel under" the radar of true patriots, Obama is all but flying the hammer and sickle at campaign rallies.
Consider the state of the economy under the previous administration of George W. Bush for the first six years of a Republican-controlled Congress compared to the last two years -- 2007 and 2008 -- after the Democrats regained control of both chambers. Also consider the steep downward spiral after the Democrats completed the trifecta by winning the Executive branch.
Then remember whenever Obama says that Republicans want to take us back to the "failed policies of the past", that he is lying because the Republicans don't want that, and that what he is really attacking is his own party's record. The "mess" Obama claims he inherited was made by his own alleged party, the Democrats. (I refuse to lay blame equally on Obama as a member of the Congressional session that convened in 2007 only because he was largely a non-participant.)
Perhaps one of the greatest ironies of all time is this; Barack Hussein Obama Sr. was a socialist Kenyan who loathed the Colonial power of England, and sought to crush their rule at all cost. Obama Jr. wrote of his "Dreams from [His] Father" to wide acclaim. But Junior's main ambition has been to crush the "colonial" rule of the United States of America, which also crushed the colonial rule of England.
A narcissist in power is never a good thing. A confused and inept narcissist is downright dangerous when in control of a nation, especially when it's a nation he loathes. My question is, why can't a single person in the mainstream media realize this?
Not that that matters much now, anyway, as the mainstream media has succeeded in relegating itself to the scrap heap of relevance by its own malfeasance. The people have awakened and are tired of being told on a daily basis to ignore the evidence their own eyes present. The only danger that lies ahead for the future of America is the Obama crowd's realization of their own futility, and how they react to it. It may get very, very ugly.
I think that we, the people, are ready for victory regardless.

The "Palinization" of Paul Ryan Begins
Wait for it... |
In the opening paragraph of his piece, Lizza speculates that if the pick is Ryan, Romney will have "made the most daring decision of his political career." Lizza's reason is because he believes that there are many "risks" in a Ryan pick, the most ominous of which is what Lizza cites as Ryan's lack of "significant private-sector experience". (Sarah Palin redux, anyone?).
Lizza sniffs that Ryan's jobs at McDonalds, the family construction business or "waiting tables as a young Washington staffer" are meaningless, as private sector experience goes. He even "worries" aloud that Ryan is a comparable light-weight for the business-savvy Romney. But then Lizza doubles down on absurdity when he also complains of the lightness of Paul Ryan's Washington experience.
As I read the piece, I immediately thought of the comparisons to then-senator Obama in 2008 and his own qualifications to be president of the United States. Obama never had any job, not even at McDonalds, and he was running for POTUS after only 143 days as a U.S. senator. Ryan has been in Congress for fourteen years. Naturally, I wondered how Mr. Ryan Lizza felt about the chances of an even lighter Barack Hussein Obama in 2008.
It didn't take long to find out. I found an article by Lizza in The New Yorker from July 21, 2008 in which the author took fifteen pages to gush about the rising star of Barack Hussein Obama. Throughout the entire article there is not one bit of evidence that Lizza was concerned over the lack of experience in the candidate to actually become president, yet now he frets that Ryan lacks the experience to be a "potential president". The reasoning behind the absence of Lizza's concern in 2008 is stunning:
Pritzker, whose family, one of the wealthiest in Chicago, owns the Hyatt hotel chain, was as crucial to Obama’s next campaign as Toni Preckwinkle’s was to his first. “We were talking about whether he was ready to do this or not,” Pritzker told me. She was blunt, telling Obama, “As I see it, the two things that you’re going to need to address are your executive leadership skills, because your résumé doesn’t have that in it, and the second would be your credentials in national security.” Obama returned with an organizational chart indicating how the campaign would be structured—one of his great tactical advantages over the disorganized Clinton campaign—along with a list of advisers. Pritzker agreed to become his finance chair. That "Pritzker agreed to become his finance chair" after her concerns over Obama's experience were apparently allayed by his production of an organizational chart seems to be good enough for Lizza. The hypocrisy is blinding.
This is only the beginning, too, and we can expect to see the mainstream media throw all they've got at Paul Ryan in the coming months. How fortunate for them this time that they only have to travel to Wisconsin for their dumpster-diving forays, instead of trekking all the way up to Alaska.
Hey, maybe they'll even find an old picture of Paul Ryan shooting a moose! Sphere: Related Content

American Values with a Delicious Crispy Coating
Then spring and summer happened, along with a brutal Republican primary contest, from which Mitt Romney emerged -- relatively unscathed -- as our presumptive nominee. Not everyone was thrilled at the outcome, but since the inevitable has become evident, people have accepted it with a sense of calm. That is good for our side in this fight. Aiding in that acceptance, though, has been a campaign run by Romney's people done well combined with an Obama campaign seemingly designed to unmask the incumbent and his agenda.
Perhaps Obama and his handlers thought that theirs was a populist agenda that was ready for a full unveiling, and if so, it was a grave miscalculation. There may be no better indicator of such a miscue as the Chick-fil-A dust-up. I know I run the risk of annoying several gay friends by this writing, but they know well my heart and will only take umbrage at the words.
That being said, yesterday was "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day", and it seems that the heart of America voted with their appetites. Reports coming in indicate that the lines at local restaurants were long and persistent. People all across America were expressing their support for traditional American values, but in a broader sense than most observers may have suspected.
What happened at Chick-fil-A restaurants around the country yesterday was nothing less than a testament to the values a majority of Americans still hold dear, despite the appearance that we had long ago gone into hibernation. No, this entire affair had nothing at all to do with gay marriage -- except perhaps peripherally -- and everything to do with the tolerance that is lacking on the left. And more importantly, it demonstrated that Americans are not nearly as ready as many believed to accept a tyrannical government.
Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy was asked a question in an interview about gay marriage and he answered honestly. His religious belief is that marriage traditionally is between one man and one woman. It is a belief that most Americans still share, despite the distorted demographics portrayed in the main stream media (MSM). Cathy did not shout or demagogue in his answer, he simply stated his belief, and even though he has never refused service to gays nor discriminated against them in hiring, he's been labelled as a "hater".
Lines Around Chick-fil-A on 8/1/12 |
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel was threatening to block efforts by Chick-fil-A to build any more restaurants in the city, saying, "Chick-fil-A’s values are not Chicago values. They’re not respectful of our residents, our neighbors and our family members. And if you’re gonna be part of the Chicago community, you should reflect Chicago values." Yet, in the same week, the "godfather" welcomed Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and his minions to help curb the rampant violence on Chicago streets, and no one in the MSM bothered to notice that Farrakhan has been militantly anti-gay, nor recognized the hypocrisy of such a blatant anti-Christian agenda in the face of such warm Muslim acceptance.
The people politely waiting in line at Chick-fil-A restaurants around America yesterday noticed, though, and they have proven that the subversive sub-culture apparently "leading" our nation at the moment is destined to fail in November.
The American people are ready to follow the TEA Party -- or even lead it -- back to the values that most of us still embrace but had for too long taken for granted, and election day could become a most bitter pill for the current controllers.
As for the issue of gays and marriage, please understand, finally, that the masses don't hate you or wish you harm. After all, we've always known you were there and only recently -- metaphorically speaking -- learned to stop tormenting you. Many of us favor some form of civil union that provides for visitation and will rights, but we will never accept marriage. If we can get you the same benefits without the title, would that be enough?
For the friends I mentioned earlier, I'd wager that it would be, for it is for that reason that I love them. There is no militancy in their desires, and no resistance in mine, we simply love one another and let it be. If the rest of the "community" could grasp that simple concept, imagine the harmony we could enjoy.
Meanwhile, it must be noted that what we saw yesterday is but the tip of what I believe we'll see in 96 days. For all of the premature obituaries offered up by the MSM regarding the TEA Party, there will be many more demonstrations like yesterday to prove them wrong in the coming months. We the people have had our fill of the "progressive" agenda. The only difference now is, we're finally prepared to show it.
Get ready to wake up, America. Sphere: Related Content

O'er the Land of the Free Stuff
When the Free Ride is Over |
Just as a once-tenacious media now ignores the obvious signs that Obama is destroying the country. With his mentor Frank Marshall Davis's philosophy buried deep within his breast, Obama is pursuing the dreams not only of his "father", but those of Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. What were those dreams?
In short, the "Cloward-Piven Strategy" is the method of remaking America by collapsing the economic system and making it into one more like a Socialist state. This would be accomplished by weighting down the system through financially overloading it. In other words, the object is to get as many people as possible on public assistance until the demand cannot possibly be met. If anyone truly cannot see how this plan is currently being implemented, they have not eyes.
Apparently it hasn't happened fast enough for Obama, though. After ripping through over six trillion dollars faster than every president combined before him, America - miraculously -- is still standing. Yet, Obama is promising that he will continue to fund "green" energy companies going forward despite the fact that more than fifteen have failed after receiving billions of taxpayer dollars.
What's more, there are a record number of people on food stamps and other public assistance. For example, in the month of June of this year, more people filed for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) than found jobs.
That's not enough for Obama, though. There are now commercials being run on radio and television trying to increase the rolls of food stamp recipients. Forgive me folks, but the advertising costs a fortune as an added "bonus". Do we really need to be advertising food stamps? If people are really hungry, they will find out on their own how to get food.
Another piece of the puzzle just revealed is Obama's plans to allow private student loans to be discharged by borrowers through bankruptcy, a practice that was banned in the 2005 overhaul of bankruptcy law. Private student loans amount to $150 billion in debt. If borrowers begin discharging their loans, banks could fail. Will the government have to bail them out again? Perhaps Obama is counting on it.
Incredibly, President Obama made the claim in June that, "Since I've been president, federal spending has risen at the lowest pace in nearly 60 years." That was based on the years immediately preceding his inauguration. As we all know, it is Congress that approves all spending with the formality of the signature of the president, and as such, the spending orgy began in 2007 with George W. Bush as president. However, it was after the Democrats took control of Congress. Interestingly, spending did go down slightly in 2011 and 2012, after Republicans regained the House of Representatives.
In 2009, Obama seized on the mantra of "never let a crisis go to waste" and began his "fundamental transformation" of America. Almost half of the population pays no effective federal income tax, yet nearly half is also on some form of public assistance. And he's far from done. Given another four years, even with a completed Republican Congress, and there is no telling how much damage Obama can do.
But it must be noted that at some point, someone will have to halt the flow of free stuff in America, and when that happens, the riots will begin. Are we already past the tipping point? That is hard to say. Perhaps if people begin finding gainful employment soon the pain will be lessened enough to prevent mass rage when the Government is once again reined in.
If not, then Obama, Cloward and Piven will have won, and we'll be living in a Post-American World after all. Sphere: Related Content

Obama and the Post-American World
2008 Campaign Reading Material |
Now, in Obama's bid for another crack at the jutting jaw of America, there is at least the knowledge of his first round, and it appears more people are paying attention and seeking answers. Perhaps these newly curious voters will find the information I am about to provide not ludicrous this time, but explanatory.
***
On the campaign trail in 2008, then-Senator Barack Obama was seen carrying a book titled, The Post-American World by Fareed Zakaria. Many bloggers seized on the photograph -- myself included -- and posted it all over the internet, some with essay's and others with a simple caption. People were not swayed in the least, mainly because the larger Liberal blogs immediately set out to run interference for Obama, as did the Liberal cable "news" outlets.
Now, however, we have the benefit of the past three-and-a-half years of Obama speeches to provide a bit of context for the significance of his reading this book. (One can just see the Senator then, resting between campaign speeches, reading the book comfortably with his feet propped up on someone else's furniture).
The book, in a nutshell, is about how America rose to prominence and then basically allowed other nations to catch up, even encouraged and helped them to do so, by spreading her philosophy of Democracy and freedom across the globe. On its face, that speaks to a grand nobility, and it would be easy to defend Obama for reading it, but then one must consider his actions and words in the interim.
Obama has more than once declared to the world that there is nothing special about America, that we are but one piece of the global puzzle. With that in mind -- and knowing his knowledge of the book -- it is also easy to see that his socialist agenda may have been fed by the book rather than his alleged patriotism. In other words, one can easily envision Obama trying to figure out how to sink us lower on the global ladder rather than planning, as president, to open the lead over the rest.
All one needs to do is to simply ask oneself how a single thing Obama has done while president has helped to advance the interests of America, advance liberty, or even improve the lives of those for whom he took an oath to lead. Rather, ask yourself if the financial strain Obama has placed on our system benefits our people or the ideology of Cloward and Piven.
First, let's address the charge of Socialist, something many of my peers warned about and were ridiculed for in the last campaign. Virtually every other candidate for president has had his formative years scrutinized as crucial to his character to lead us. Yet Obama's past has been painted by his media acolytes as a form of guilt by association. Is it not pertinent to consider what made a man think the way he thinks? Let's look at one of Obama's most crucial mentors, Frank Marshall Davis.
Obama's Mentor Davis |
After Barry Obama arrived back in Hawaii to begin his life with his white grandparents, the Dunhams, Stanley Dunham thought it might be a good idea for his grandson to have someone of his own race to mentor him. Enter Frank Marshall Davis, described by Wikipedia as "an American journalist, poet, and political and labor movement activist". Davis was much more.
The "father figure" who helped shape Barry's young mind was also under FBI investigation for 19 years and a card-carrying member of the Communist Party. Davis was also on the FBI's "Security Index A" list, which meant that in the event of a military conflict with the then-USSR, Davis would be immediately arrested and imprisoned. In short, Frank Marshall Davis was a designated enemy of the state. And he taught our president everything he knows.
In Obama's Dreams From My Father there are 22 references to "Frank", with no other identifying notations. Some have surmised that those references are to Davis, and there is little reason to question the logic of those assumptions. Published in 1995, only 13 years before Obama's election, the influence of an avowed Communist on our current president's ideology is hard to ignore, for it must also be questioned as to whom Obama referred as his "father" in Dreams. Is Obama -- and all of those responsible for his unlikely ascension -- actually living that dream now?
In the next part, we'll examine the nature of what that dream might be. Meanwhile, we've got real trouble here, and I fear that if Obama is reelected, our future elections will involve bodyguards and purple finger paint. Sphere: Related Content

The Most Desperate Campaign in History
No, Obama Has a New Hero |
Actually, it's a nightmare like no other I've ever had, because none of the nightmares I've had in my life has ever had me giggling like I am now, with this one. It was one thing thing to watch Barack's futile flailing at presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney like Arnold Stang trying to fend off a beach bully, but the campaign has reached a new level of hysteria. And I mean hysteria of the wildly humorous vein.
The Washington Examiner is reporting tonight that part of Team Obama's strategy along the Bain Capital attacks line will be to somehow try to capitalize (I hate it when Marxists try to capitalize on anything) on the release of the final Batman movie this Friday. In case you're unfamiliar with the story line of the movie, Batman will be facing his arch nemesis in a final showdown. The creep's name? Swallow your beverage first, then continue, I'll wait...Bane.
That's right, the Democrat machine is actually gearing up to use the movie release of The Dark Knight Rises as a tool to further hammer Mitt Romney on his Bain Capital days. According to Paul Bedard of the Examiner:
"Bane" is the terrorist in the new movie who drives the caped crusader out of semi-retirement in the final Batman movie. Democrats, who believe they have Romney on the ropes over the president's assault on his leadership at Bain Capital, said the comparisons are too rich to ignore."It has been observed that movies can reflect the national mood," said Democratic advisor and former Clinton aide Christopher Lehane. "Whether it is spelled Bain and being put out by the Obama campaign or Bane and being out by Hollywood, the narratives are similar: a highly intelligent villain with offshore interests and a past both are seeking to cover up who had a powerful father and is set on pillaging society," he added. On the one hand, this is so sad that it's funny, at least to people who haven't been completely corrupted by their government goodies. On the other hand, it is alarming because it reveals just how stupid these progressives believe the electorate to be. (They have good reason to believe that, incidentally, since they have been working feverishly over the past four decades to dumb us down in the public schools).
It would be expected for late night television hosts to engage in the "Bane-Bain" wordplay for a laugh, but for the President of the United States of America to even go near this is both unfortunate and frightening. But the entire affair does have a silver lining in that it shows just how desperate Obama is leading into the fall and ultimately the election. From the frantic pleas to donors for more cash, to the repeated attempts to bash Romney over Bain Capital in opposition to leaders of his own party, this is the culmination of a campaign in a tailspin.
It couldn't look any better from my vantage point. Sphere: Related Content

Obama Still Not Transparent, Just More Apparent
Nixon's AG Went to Prison |
No longer confident that portraying capitalism -- at least publicly -- as a negative is a winning formula, Obama's camp is now flirting with the "possibility" that Romney may have criminally violated Securities Exchange Commission rules. Surrogates -- such as senior campaign adviser Stephanie Cutter -- of the incumbent have been on the talk shows declaring that Romney may be a criminal. That was the initial soft attack utilizing the qualifying, "either that, or he's a liar" fall back.
For his part, candidate Romney has demanded an apology from the Obama campaign for such a ridiculous line of campaign tactics. Romney's defenders, meanwhile, bolster that assessment, claiming that Romney is probably the most squeaky-clean candidate the nation has seen since the Revolutionary days.
With Romney making the network rounds tonight to counter these charges, Obama doubled down on the criminal aspect of this, seemingly tossing aside the disclaimer that Cutter had earlier laid as a safety net for Obama. What's worse is the fact that Obama seemed to have made a veiled Nixonian threat towards Romney, saying that "he should answer the Bain questions" soon. Or what, would be the obvious question, although there is little doubt that Romney will do so with clear conviction. Is Obama suggesting that he'd get his attorney general involved?
Nixon had his well known "enemies list" for which he's been posthumously vilified, but Obama has had his own list publicized by Kimberly A. Strassel of the Wall Street Journal, to little fanfare. I think that there would be little argument how much a second term means to Barack Obama, so is there doubt that he'd try to use the AG's office to derail his only rival?
His ominous words about "answering soon" were spoken to Scott Thuman of WJLA, a D.C area ABC affiliate. In that brief interview, Obama also spoke of the ultimate responsibility of the top man, and how that responsibility rests at the top. He was referring to the fact that while Romney had actually left Bain -- in haste to run the Olympic Committee -- he was still listed as the top guy. Obama flashed some of his famous Audacity with the following statement:
“If he aspires to being president, one of the things you learn is, you are ultimately responsible for the conduct of your operations, that’s probably a question that he’s going to have to answer, and I think that’s a legitimate part of the campaign.”If that didn't have your beverage assaulting your nasal cavities, Obama also followed up with this treasure:
“As president of the United States, it’s pretty clear to me that I’m responsible for folks who are working in the federal government and you know, Harry Truman said the buck stops with you.”This coming from the man who has deflected virtually all blame from himself, despite nearly four years on the job? If you were paying attention, you would have noticed that he even blew the Truman quote. Or did he? Being the consummate politician, it may have been a clever lawyer trick. Truman said "the buck stops here", not with you. My guess is Obama foresaw being called on his hypocrisy, to which he could roll tape and point this out. In other words, it's you, not him.
Meanwhile, Romney was not content to sit idly by and let these attacks go unchallenged. While he needs to be a little more forceful as the campaign rolls on, here is a sampling of the interviews he gave to various networks tonight.
Romney mentioned "Chicago politics" in his interviews, and that's exactly what we're seeing. They must be exposed, because the people who voted for Obama in 2008 didn't see that that style of politics was the same then. It's all Obama and his handlers have.
As we get closer to Election Day, and as Obama's press secretary Jay Carney ludicrously claims that his boss has been the most transparent, it must be noted that transparency has different meanings. While President Obama has remained the most sequestered man to ever inhabit the Oval Office, his intentions for our nation have become increasingly more transparent. It's apparent that he means to ruin America at all costs. Sphere: Related Content

America's First Black President: Been there, Done That
103 Years of Prominence |
I could follow up that first paragraph with a litany of rhetorical questions, but it would be a waste of time and an exercise in futility and redundancy. But there is one question that must be asked in response to the previous one...has America been magically "healed", as we were led to believe it would have been? That one would elicit an equally resounding "NO"!
It is an interesting paradox that leads us up to the 103rd Annual Convention in Houston of the N.A.A.C.P, at which Republican candidate Mitt Romney is scheduled to speak on Wednesday. Ahead of the convention, the Liberal media is working full tilt to paint Romney as "so white he makes white bread look like pumpernickel", something that should realistically scream "racism" to any normal, thinking person, but which somehow, mystically does not. But the kicker is yet to come.
Romney will speak tomorrow to the group regardless of the liberal media's criticisms, and he will make his pitch on the economy and the tragic unemployment rate among blacks and minorities in general, something on which Obama has been given a pass by everyone in the media. But Obama was also scheduled to speak at the convention tomorrow, speaking to "his people", if we are to buy into the stereotypes set before us by the very people making the accusations of racism against us.
What's particularly intriguing is that Mr. Obama will not attend, sending in his stead his whiter-than-white vice president, Joe Biden. (Heck, even his hair is white)! Got that? We have the so-called "mainstream media" wailing about a white Republican candidate addressing the N.A.A.C.P. because we have a black Democrat president, but they don't mention that the black Democrat president is sending an even whiter Democrat proxy.
For those familiar with my writing, you all know well my fondness for irony, and this is a banquet of the grandest proportion. But wait, we're not done! The feast goes on, praise the Libs.
Our Attorney General, Eric Holder, (he's black, in case any of you missed it) has been a valiant champion of minority rights against "voter disenfranchisement" in those "redneck states" that are requiring photo identification as proof of identity in order to perform an American's most cherished right; the right to vote. It seems that AG Holder (D) thinks that "po black and asian folks" is too dumb to get their pitcher tooken! All of my ethnic friends have a driver's license already, so it's not an issue.
Mr. Holder spoke today at the N.A.A.C.P. convention about this very pressing issue, decrying the racist right wing for trying to frighten away those citizens simply seeking the truth and the exercise of their God-given rights as citizens. What were the required credentials -- in a voter ID state like Texas -- to see Holder speak? How about a government-issued photo ID and a second form of identification?
If irony were a meal, I'd be loosening my belt right now. Sphere: Related Content

A Study in Irony: The DHS
Domestic Terrorists? |
It's probably a good thing that time travel is not possible because if our Founding Fathers could be here today, they would most likely wind up being hauled off to Guantanamo Bay.In January of this year, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released a $12 million study outlining their stance on domestic terrorism and potential threats. The study -- that you and I paid for -- was conducted by the following:
LaFree, Gary, and Bianca Bersani. “Hot Spots of Terrorism and
Other Crimes in the United States, 1970 to 2008,” Final Report to
Human Factors/Behavioral Sciences Division, Science and
Technology Directorate, U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
College Park, MD: START, 2012.
On page nine of the pdf report, the first group identified as a possible terror threat is "the extreme right wing", and the reasoning is astounding. (The irony of it all will be self evident very soon, I promise). Here is the paragraph detailing why we -- the right wing -- are a threat to our beloved nation:
Extreme Right-Wing: groups that believe that one’s personal and/or national “way of life” is under attack and is either already lost or that the threat is imminent (for some the threat is from a specific ethnic, racial, or religious group), and believe in the need to be prepared for an attack either by participating in paramilitary preparations and training or survivalism. Groups may also be fiercely nationalistic (as opposed to universal and international in orientation), anti-global, suspicious of centralized federal authority, reverent of individual liberty, and believe in conspiracy theories that involve grave threat to national sovereignty and/or personal liberty.
There is something really wrong here -- a fact that must make me a threat in and of itself -- that needs to be examined, so I thought we'd take each "charge" one by one.
- People who believe their "way of life" is under attack. For as long as I can remember, the American way of life has been pretty free with a minimum of government involvement. The Pledge of Allegiance was seen as a patriotic act, and loving our blessed country was a proud emotion. Considering that our own president seems to think America so bad it needed "fundamental alterations", yeah, I'd say my way of life is under attack. Call me kooky.
- People who are "fiercely nationalistic" (as opposed to universal and international in orientation). For me, personally, there are some nice places in the rest of the world I suppose, and they're free to operate as they see fit, but as Dorothy would say, there's no place like home. And if believing that America is the greatest place to be -- as millions of immigrants have declared over the years -- is somehow wrong these days, see the first item and slap the cuffs on me now.
- People who are anti-global. See the second item, which is somewhat similar, but ostensibly this one deals with the threat of eroded American sovereignty. Well, when I have alleged leaders and judicial folks who continue to allow the encroachment of foreign ideals into our own, or court decisions that rely on foreign law, I get a little creeped out over American sovereignty being watered down. In my world, America doesn't join the parade, it leads. Sue me.
- People who are "suspicious of centralized federal authority". Wait a minute...so was Ronald Reagan a domestic terrorist? Are all 50 states being governed by potential threats to Homeland Security? Should the SS go and arrest Ron Paul this instant? We've already witnessed quite enough of centralized federal authority, thank you, and it has not been at all good. I guess I need a hide-out now.
And, last but not least, my personal favorite...
- People who are reverent of individual liberty, and believe in conspiracy theories that
involve grave threat to national sovereignty and/or personal liberty. Uh, hello?? Millions of illegal aliens (that one will alert the authorities!) streaming across our border while the federal government sues border states to stop trying to stop them? Is that my imagination running wild? How about Fast and Furious? Is that one a crazy conspiracy, too? And somehow I'm weird if I revere individual liberty, really? In America?!? All I can say is Janet Napolitano better get a SWAT team over here double-time, because right after my wife, kids and grandkids, individual liberty is right up there on my right-wing whack-job list of loves.
So, as I walk off into the sunset with my knuckles dragging behind, I'd like to wish my readers a very Happy Independence Day. If we don't use the power of the ballot box this November, it could be the last one. Try not to celebrate too enthusiastically, it may get you in hot water. Sphere: Related Content

The Tactical Genius of Chief Justice Roberts
"Clear the battlefield and let me seeAfter the Supreme Court ruling today on the Affordable Care Act -- aka ObamaCare -- the Democrats and Obama are feeling their collective oats, claiming a huge victory over the American people. While many expected a narrow decision of 5-4, most were predicting that Justice Kennedy would be the swing vote siding with the right-leaning majority. No one expected what happened in the final ruling.
All the profit of our victory" -Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Tarkus
When the dust had cleared and it was learned that Chief Justice John Roberts had tipped the scales in Obama's favor, virtually everyone was stunned. Twitter was instantly ablaze with tweets from giddy Democrats eager to jam their fingers in the eyes of the bill's opponents. (Patrick Gaspard, Executive Director of the Democratic National Committee [DNC], gracefully tweeted, "It's Constitutional. B*tches!") What a guy.
From Today's Drudge Report |
Yes, Supreme Court Justices are supposed to be neutral in all decisions, but how many times has the SCOTUS been publicly scolded by the Chief Executive at a State of the Union Address? Once, for those keeping score. I would wager that -- for the most part -- Justices are measured in their temperament when deciding on the Constitution, but it must also be noted that power is about payback.
To be sure, there is political peril afoot if I am correct that this was a calculated maneuver by Roberts in that if Obama should somehow win another term, the nation is doomed with this law intact. But the clarification by Roberts' opinion that the individual mandate is indeed a tax makes it all the more unlikely that Obama can survive the voters' wrath come November, to say nothing of one third of the Democrats in Congress, who also face re-election this November.
Whether knowingly or not, Mitt Romney's campaign has been handed a golden goose by the Supreme Court, and all he's got to do for the next 130 days is gather the eggs and -- more importantly -- put them on display for the electorate to see, every day. The first egg to be shown should be the fact that in 2009, Obama was vehement in his denials that the individual mandate was a new tax on the people, something he had earlier vowed would not happen. Being the largest tax hike in the history of the world, this will make George H. W. Bush's "Read my lips" failed promise seem insignificant by comparison.
Add to these woes the pledge by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor to hold a full House vote on July 11th to repeal ObamaCare, and Congressional Democrats are in quite a pickle, particularly those whose terms are on the line this year. The people are wide awake right now, and the time left until Election Day is not nearly long enough for the memories of today to fade.
The bottom line is this: when the Democrats controlled the Executive and Legislative branches, that's when they rammed this monstrosity down the throats of a decidedly unwilling populace. I, for one, remember with incredible clarity how they pranced, preened and gloated after its passage, and I'm not about to forget. We had no choice and no voice, even at the myriad town hall meetings, at which we were treated with utter contempt by our alleged "representatives".
Thanks to John Roberts and the Supreme Court, all of the legal arguments are settled and all that remains is an ultimate referendum in November. Our voice is back, folks, with a vengeance. On Election Day, we finally have a say in the fate of ObamaCare. Please use it wisely. Just think about Nancy Pelosi's hideous grin and her statement of, "We have to pass the bill so that you can, uh, find out what is in it".
Our votes have never meant more. Sphere: Related Content

The Day After the Ides
Brutus to Obama's Caesar? |
Obama and his surrogates have been busy trying to demonize Mitt Romney as an evil capitalist who sucked the life out of companies and ruined the lives of every day workers like you and me while working with Bain Capital. Obama himself has even recently iced the cake by audaciously declaring that Romney has never "worked a real job". When asked about it by a CNN host, Clinton defended Romney, saying that as a former Governor and a man with "a sterling business career", Romney was definitely qualified to be president.
But it must be remembered that Brutus did not slay Caesar alone. There were a handful of senators who participated in the murder, and just like then, Clinton is not the only Democrat to criticize Obama's Bain strategy. Newark Mayor Cory Booker was the first to open the attacks, calling the vilification of Bain "nauseating". (Booker was also the first to fall on his sword). Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick joined in as did former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell. Are they all senile as well? How many more Democrats are out there holding the same view on the Bain attacks?
Ready for Battle |
I predict that Caesar shall remain deceased.

The First Domino Falls
Welcome Back, America! |
The history made was not as much as the fact that Walker survived the recall as it is that the electorate, by and large, has recognized the measures that will bankrupt them and successfully distinguished them from those that help the state prosper. History remains the station for the only two governors in American history to have been recalled; Gov. Lynn Frazier from North Dakota in 1921 and Gov. Gray Davis from California in 2003.
After watching the chaos created by Big Labor back at the beginning of Walker's term as governor, it is understandable for anyone to believe that the governor's policies were hugely unpopular in Wisconsin. But it should also be remembered that at the time -- mostly because of Big Labor -- the budget deficit was $3.6 billion and the state unemployment rate stood at nearly 9 percent. Since Walker has taken over, the deficit is gone with no additional taxes levied, and the unemployment rate is down to 6.7 percent.
Clearly, the voters in Wisconsin have seen a better direction, and have begun migrating toward it with last night's vote, perhaps signaling a genuine shift in the entire country back toward the right.
The Romney campaign needs to exploit that for all it's worth. Others in America -- those not particularly wired politically -- need to be shown the successes of other governors, like John Kasich of Ohio or Chris Christie of New Jersey, who have also righted their own ships of state, albeit with a bit more panache than Walker. Even though Walker won a recall, and therefore is actually still governor, there was doubt, so Wisconsin could be counted as the lead domino, the one that started it all.
Traditionally a Democrat state, Wisconsin just realized that Democrat policies are not fiscally responsible. The ramifications such a widespread realization would have across the nation portends ill winds for a President representative of disastrous fiscal policies -- and their results. What that means could be tremendous this November.
Republicans currently control 30 states, or 60 percent of the states. Wisconsin could prove a harbinger of defeat for further Democrat governors whose states are in dire financial straits. If people begin to wake up and realize that life could be better under a Republican leader, more states could begin falling like running dominoes.
The last domino sits on Pennsylvania Avenue. Sphere: Related Content

Requiem for a Friend
Earth Loses, Heaven Gains |
My friend Steven Hintze is one of those who stayed for all of his 60 years, and his measure of success was entirely different from the traditional notion. For that matter, so was the measure of his multitude of friends who saw him as a figure to be both loved and envied.
Steve was one of those men who never seemed angry -- unless the New York Yankees were losing a ball game -- and brought sunshine into any room he entered. I refer to him as the unofficial Mayor of our town because he knew almost everyone, and they knew him. To my knowledge, no one who knew him had anything but love for him. I can't think of another man I know without at least one enemy.
Steve was a rich man, but not in the sense one usually associates with wealth. His was a world many would embrace, a world full of family and friends and the opportunity to enjoy it all to the fullest. He worked close to home, so he never had the brutal commutes many people face. His family is very close knit, just as his friendships have always been, and his outlook on life was always optimistic. Steve could take the worst barbs of jest with a self-deprecating grin that would instantly disarm the person delivering them, and he rarely fired back.
Steve liked his Coors Light, enough to cause a prohibitionist to declare that Heaven was not an option at the end. As it turns out, God had other plans. Steve was taken from us a few days ago, called from his dreams into the Heavenly arms of our Father.
Funny how life works out; as we get older, we think about death a bit more, realizing that we're not as immortal as we thought at twenty. None of us is in a hurry to go, though, but at the same time, when a brother like Steve Hintze is called as he was, some of us feel like the last kid picked for basketball in gym class.
If you don't get the analogy, don't worry; it was designed for Steve and God. They'll get it.
God speed, Steve, and prepare a place for your family and all your friends. I just hope that when we all meet again, we don't laugh a hole in the clouds and plummet back down here. Sphere: Related Content

Propaganda for Hamsters
The Life of Julia |
What in the world am I talking about, you're probably asking right about now. In order to understand it, a quick trip to barackobama.com/life-of-julia might be prudent. After that, the rest will be clear. Suffice it to say that Obama -- and Democrats in general -- consider the entire electorate nothing more than so many hamsters that need their constant care.
At the link provided, the viewer is guided through a multi-slide cartoon composite depicting the life of a generic woman and her journey through life as the beneficiary of Big Government's care and generosity. During a discussion of this frightening propaganda show, in a political forum of which I'm a member, a dear friend of mine likened the life of Julia to that of a hamster. To quote her, she said of Julia: "Her idea of patriotism can be likened to a hamster in a cage, thankful to it's master...that comes by to drop in some kibble, and laugh at her spinning on her wheel, in her cage with no outlet. She has no idea life could be better."
My friend is a small business owner in Texas and knows a thing or two about personal responsibility and risk, facts of life with which Obama's fictitious Julia will never be acquainted. No, she will be relegated forever to an alleged life of bland bliss, the stuff of which ignorance is made. This is also the stuff being eagerly peddled by a media determined to see the Obama agenda implemented, apparently unaware of their own peril. My friends analogy was spot on.
What Obama and the Democrats have attempted throughout our history is to enslave their constituents through the promise of benevolence and the false facade of compassion. Call it the wolf in sheep's clothing method. In Barack Obama's propaganda slide show, Julia is portrayed as wanting for nothing, apparently not even a man when she "decided" to have a child.
Even a Prisoner is Cared for. |
"The Life of Julia" is being touted by Obama as the promise of a better life, free from both worry and responsibility. The relative happiness of an individual can only be truly appreciated with the accompanying sorrow to measure against; success with the triumph over failure. The human spirit is not designed for guarantees, which would be nothing more than shackles in this context.
Everywhere I have seen comments on the fairy tale of Julia, people have mentioned the absence of the mention of funding for Julia's multitude of handouts. What I haven't seen anyone notice is the fact that the story never mentions Julia's personal life and her state of mind. She is never mentioned as falling in love, for example, and getting married. She apparently has no friends or family, other than little Zach. What is the worth of her life?
I don't want my children and grandchildren to live like Julia in a desolate, barren world where all that matters is what the government determines for them. Sphere: Related Content
