The Final Frontier Between Obama's Ears

Perhaps President Obama has spent more time with one of his biggest fans than we have been led to believe. It may go a long way in explaining the strange betrayal of his alleged academic acumen to even his harshest critics who - at least until recently - begrudgingly acknowledged his advertised brilliance, albeit on faith alone, since no actual credentials were ever offered to confirm the belief. He spoke well when prompted, but many learned as early as the campaign trail that he was a dismal orator when circumstances dictated extemporaneous performances.

Since his election Obama has demonstrated even less intellect in policy making and many more people are now - thankfully - wondering what they have wrought. The recent revelation that Obama's mission for his new National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Chief Charles Bolden involves less about space exploration and more on appeasing radical Islam makes one wonder if the President has visited Louis Farrakhan's "Mother Wheel in the Sky" a time or two.

Of course, since Obama has slashed the NASA budget and scrapped much of the space exploration that was planned, it stands to reason that one, he has found a mission for Bolden that is far less expensive and two, he'll no longer have a ride to Farrakhan's fantasy land.

Speaking in June at the American University in Cairo, in an interview with Al Jazeera, Bolden said that Obama wanted him to "help [Muslims] feel good about their historic contribution to science...". The quote in its entirety:

"When I became the NASA administrator -- or before I became the NASA administrator -- he charged me with three things. One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, he wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science ... and math and engineering."
Out of forty-four presidents in America's history, only a handful have been elected President of the United States directly from the Senate. None of those even come close to the way Obama - with the thinnest of resumes and least time in politics - was whisked into office. And certainly, not even Jimmy Carter could compete with Obama for level of ineptitude.

For a man who was sold to the American electorate as a scholar, it has become painfully obvious - to most, at least - that they have been the victims of false advertising. Perhaps the rest will come around when Obama puts the Treasury Secretary in charge of restoring the self esteem of oil-soaked egrets in the Gulf region. In the meantime, someone needs to be charged with seeking out intelligence in the vacuous expanse of Obama's brain.

Woody:
Under Obama the National Areonautics and Space Administration,(NASA), has been reduced from placing humans on Mars to making Muslims feel good about themselves in the fields of science, math and engineering. Whats next, an award to Iran for their development of neuclear weapons? Talk about extreme CHANGE!

WAKE UP PEOPLE!

More and more, I wish people had heeded the warnings a lot of us tried to broadcast during the election. We were laughed to scorn when we tried to tell everyone the change Obama wanted to bring was dangerous. Instead, they blithely went to the polls and voted a very inexperienced man in to the White House. Now our country is suffering the consequences. Hopefully, we can send him back to Chicago in 2012.

You both have seized upon the "change" aspect of this administration, which is to both expected and applauded. But how many of our collective readers already knew these this salient truth?

LD, I also hope we can effectively neutralize this abomination much sooner, providing a fresh Congress that will essentially nullify much of the "progression" we've already suffered.

You raise a good point, Woody. From my small experience, I think a lot of people already knew, at least to a degree, of the change Obama would bring to America. However, they were at the point of being so burned out with George W. Bush that they choose to ignore it. I don't agree with that approach, but I think that is where a lot of people were at in 2008.

Concerning the upcoming elections and the possibility of a new Congress, there is that. However, we are seeing such an anti-incumbent demonstration that I am afraid some Republicans may lose out as well. I just hope we can gain enough seats to keep the progressives in check until 2012. If the Republicans can managed to choose the right candidate, I have a feeling that Obama will not find it so easy in his next election

"In the meantime, someone needs to be charged with seeking out intelligence in the vacuous expanse of Obama's brain." That, my friend, will require an expedition on a level with Lewis and Clarke and Apollo 11 all rolled into one...

You're right! An expedition on that level would be a huge undertaking. However I'm afraid that once they got "between the ears" they would be sucked into one vast black hole!

A couple things, first when I saw "space the final frontier" I was thinking Star Trek, sadly its more like Space Balls.

As for people voting for Obama who would have never voted for him fell into the media war that took 4 years to bring down Bush's poll numbers. Obama is continuing the Bush era programs on everything from the Patriot Act, GITMO, Afghanistan and Iraq and now it has gotten so bad he is taking credit for the Iraq strategy? The recession can be laid at the feet of Obama and the Democratic congress. The larger layoffs occurred once it became clear Obama was winning the election. Obama promised change but he never told the majority of the people what he was going to change. Centrists wanted to make history by voting for the first black president.Young people wanted a president who represented them. Many voted for him simply because he promised everything to everyone and people want "theirs".

If the GOP doesn't blow it by falling into their predictable routine, they could very well take the house and come close in the senate. If they get control of the either they get chairmanships and subpoena power, that no doubt will change Obama's next and last election. The amount of damage this man has done is incredible.

Well put, BLW. I have given up on the hope that the media will ever hold this president accountable, but I am very hopeful for November.

However, as you point out, it all depends on how the Republicans handle it. They have a marvelous opportunity to repeat '94, but they also have a penchant for shooting themselves in the foot.
