Dereliction of Duty

Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution. Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:--"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." - Oath of Office for the President

Perhaps many have not noticed - or they may be ignorant due to their information consumption preferences - that everything this president and his administration does is to the detriment of America. His betrayal of our allies makes us weaker while it aides our foes and emboldens them. He is dismantling our economy with breathtaking speed, threatening the very foundation of the nation. The Coast Guard, under Obama's command, has been thwarting efforts in the Gulf of Mexico to mitigate the damage from the oil spill, and his Justice Department is poised to sue the state of Arizona to prevent it from enforcing immigration law.

Our federal government has made the job of a border patrol agent a criminal act and has even targeted local sheriffs in the area, most notably Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Obama halted construction of fence along the southern border of Arizona, ostensibly because - in his view - it simply isn't right to "keep people out". As a result, crime from illegal aliens in Arizona has reached intolerable levels, which caused the state to pass SB1070 in the first place. Now, however, the Obama administration has decided that it is okay to keep people out, but it's not illegal aliens; it's American citizens.

Armed Mexican drug lords have overrun large sections of the United States in what can only be characterized as an invasion, and the Obama administration's answer is to keep Americans out of the area?

Obama's sworn duty is to mobilize military forces to go down there and eradicate the threat to our citizens but, to quote a good friend, "I'd guess he's too busy trying to overthrow the U.S from within to worry about a bit of competition from two-bit smugglers and slave traffickers."

Nonetheless, this dereliction of duty is enough cause for our Congress to remove Obama from office immediately.
