Just as a charred forest rejuvenates itself with new lush, green foliage, perhaps Barack Hussein Obama was the symbolic fire America needed to renew herself. Like the mythical Phoenix, the election of Obama could be seen as America having built her own nest and set it ablaze, only to rise from the resultant ashes anew.
That is my fervent hope, for if this has all been for naught, it would be a colossal tragedy. The video below offers a glimpse of what may well be the most stunning electoral event in our short history. Enjoy.
